And 2020…sounds pretty futuristic, right? Well, some of the trends for next year will follow that futuristic feel but with a bit of understanding and forward planning everyone can jump on board and make social media work for their business. Boooooom.

1. Stories will continue to create excitement

The growth of Instagram and Facebook Stories in recent years is incredible and will continue to grow well into the new decade. Everyone loves a bit of behind the scenes action and the more authentic insight that content created on the spot can give, so it’s easy to see why so many social media users are enjoying Stories.

Why not use Stories to your advantage this year? Often the pull of watching stories is the classic FOMO feeling (Fear Of Missing Out), so why not tease your followers with a little ‘blink and you’ll miss it’? They’re a great way to give your loyal followers – who will learn to regularly watch your stories – both an insight into your business’ personality as well as any offers which are only available for a certain time.

We’ll be running another Instagram Stories workshop next year. Don’t get all FOMO on us – register your interest by email.

2. Brand discovery via social media will grow

There has been a definite rise in people using social media to research brands in recent years. Hands up those of us that stalk follow certain brands on social media ready to get the first glance of any new products, or to get a feel for the company and products before buying? This is definitely going to continue, and indeed, grow, in 2020.

In order to sell on social media in 2020, aside from having a clear, consistent look and feel to your feeds, make sure that you’re also using product tags in both Facebook and Instagram, as well as the in-built product galleries. In a world where you don’t have to leave your favourite social app in order to buy a product, if you rely on social media to sell your product, you need to make sure that you’re pulling out all of the stops – and pulling out all you can in terms of social media shops – in 2020. How’s that for futuristic? (Ed’s note: Indeed.)

3. Customer service via social media will improve

When it comes to customer service via social media, you need to ensure that you’re on it. This means replying to comments and messages in a timely manner and using chatbots where applicable. For most people nowadays, the first port of call when they have a complaint is social media. As customer service shifts more and more towards social, a brand who can handle comments well will always fare well in the eyes of its customers.

Read our top tips to online customer service here.

4. Video will be king (and queen)

Video has grown and grown in recent years and will continue to do so into 2020. With 80% of social media content predicted to be video-based next year, it’s time to release your inner Steven Spielberg.

Whether you’re looking to deliver information to your customers via Facebook Live, or are more interested in a YouTube or IGTV video, the variety of options available on social media will mean that there will be a format to suit you and your business needs.

We’ll be hosting a workshop showing you how to create engaging videos for social media soon. *Watch* this space.

5. Social networking will become more meaningful

There’s a definite move away from people using social media to share the minutiae of their everyday lives and seeing it as more of a leisure pursuit, sharing things that connect them with friends over everyday details. Yes, people still share photographs and big moments aka morning cappuccino but you only have to take one look at your Facebook memories (Ed’s note: cringe) to see that the things we used to share on social media years ago, well, we just wouldn’t even entertain posting now.

Make 2020 the year that you discover your brand’s social media personality and use this to create shareable content which actually means something and provides value to your customers and new prospects. They’ll love you for it. Actual fact.

Whatever your social media style is in 2020, the future of social is bright. And if you need some extra fingers to point you in the right direction? Step into the 24fingers’ time machine and hang onto your laptops: we’ll happily take you into the future of social. Book your free discovery call and tell us what’s got you all fingers and thumbs.

Instagram and Snapchat are facing off against each other in a battle for total social media domination. Quite literally.

With Instagram recently dropping ‘Face Filters’ and several other spanking new features (including a Rewind button, Hashtag stickers, and even an Eraser button) can Snapchat continue to put on a brave…. face?

#Filter is the New #NoFilter

Snapchat is feeling the heat. Ever since CEO Evan Spiegel turned down a $3 billion all-cash offer (fact) from Facebook, arch-nemesis Mark Zuckerberg has been on a mission to COMPLETELY dismantle the image messaging app, one replicated feature at a time.

And, with the arrival of Instagram Face Filters, it would seem that the destruction is near-complete. From furry koala ears to a majestic ice crown, the app’s new Camera Effects augmented reality adds to its grand scheme: to reign as social media’s all-encompassing platform.

That’s not it. Instagram also added Location and Hashtag Stories to its Explore tab, making it easier to catch-up on what’s happening around you and find Stories related to your interests (chocolate cake, anyone?).

You will also be able to search for any location and see a story ring for that place at the top of the location page.

“From discovering new parts of your own city to jogging alongside the #fromwhereirun community all around the world, location and hashtag stories help you share these experiences as they unfold,” said Instagram. Do we predict a total eclipse of Snapchat in the near future?….

Right Here, Right Now

Meanwhile, Snapchat is desperately trying to stay afloat. The app released ‘On-Demand’ geofilters that let you easily customise filters for your business and special events.

Whether it’s your best friend’s wedding, a fancy-pants dinner soirée or your dog’s birthday, On-Demand geofilters let anyone build a custom filter for an event. New templates let users create their own customised geofilters without any special knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator or any (pretentious) graphics software at all.

Sounds dandy, but what’s the catch, you ask? Snapchat’s new On-Demand geofilter themes are currently available on their website…. with a price tag. Depending on the size of the geofence and the duration of the event, costs can vary anywhere from $5 to a whopping $100,000.

Maybe refrain from getting too geofilter-happy.

What’s for Dinner?

Whilst Instagram and Snapchat are involved in awkward conflict, popular image-collecting site Pinterest is busy making tech history.

Out at a restaurant? Love at first bite? Pinterest will give you a way to snap a shot of that sinfully delicious dish you ordered through its ‘Lens’ feature, and lead you to recipes related to it (like the Shazam for food). You can then save those recipes and start experimenting at home! What’s more, the site is also introducing MORE filters to its recipe searches. Users can now fine-tune their culinary experience, from the amount of time it takes to prepare a dish to those that contain specific ingredients.

Got some cheddar, chorizo and half a courgette in the fridge? You might just be able to filter through Pinterest’s search engine for the perfect recipe to whip up. Bon Appétit!

The post The Billion Dollar Filter War first appeared on 24 fingers.

The post The Billion Dollar Filter War appeared first on 24 fingers.

LinkedIn advertising, Facebook Reactions, Snapchat’s Ad Manager – it’s been a big week for social media. Luckily we’ve got the low-down on all the latest, greatest updates to get you social media-savvy….

Time to get your geek on.

Reach Your People

LinkedIn means business. The networking service is officially rolling out Matched Audiences, a feature that helps all LinkedIn advertisers target their ads based on people’s web browsing activity, email addresses and employers. It’s in-depth market research at its finest.

LinkedIn’s targeted ads will appear where people are looking to do strictly business, and since LinkedIn will consider both primary and secondary email addresses (you know what they say – never mix work with pleasure….) attached to people’s profiles, business-to-business marketers will have a higher chance of hitting their target audience.

On top of that, advertisers have the chance to get super-specific with their targeting, connecting them to the right audiences through gender, age, location, job title and even seniority level. “Most marketers would agree that customer targeting and remarketing is a game of ‘Data Science’. Not Big Data, but Real-Big-Accurate Data will solve the problem for marketers in targeting the right audiences who are interested in taking the journey forward”, LinkedIn said in a statement.

An exciting audience targeting tool for marketers, we can only expect LinkedIn to drop more features in the near future.

Express Yourself

If we could react to Facebook’s newest update, it would be this:

For Facebook users can now react to COMMENTS with emoji. The newest feature lets people respond to discussions under posts and status updates with a ‘Love’, ‘Haha’, ‘Wow’, ‘Sad’ and ‘Angry’. Online communication has just got so much better.

Handy for relaying the right message with only a tap of a button, Facebook have stated “we’ve heard from people that they’d like more ways to show their reaction in conversations on Facebook, so we’re rolling out the ability to react to comments”. Ask, and you shall receive!

Snapchat is at Your Service

Small, medium, large – brands of ALL sizes can rejoice, as Snapchat is set to launch a self-service advertising platform inclusive for everyone.

Available in the UK and other European markets from June, the tool is is available at absolutely NO cost and marketers can buy, manage, optimise and view data across all their campaigns. Not only that, but the Ad Manager works together with the Snapchat Mobile Dashboard, letting advertisers view their ‘Snap Ads’ through the eyes of the user they’re targeting. It’s (techy) magic.

So, how does one review the campaign metrics? Don’t fret. Brands will be able to track all the stats live and receive key campaign notifications straight to their mobiles.

As seen above, the tool is accessible right from the Snapchat app, no frills or fuss! Big brands, it’s time to move over.

The post LinkedIn Means Business first appeared on 24 fingers.

The post LinkedIn Means Business appeared first on 24 fingers.

The signs are all there. Execs (and exes) being followed <del>stalked</del> with a passion, casual requests for dates popping up from anywhere and everywhere, random connection requests and a whole lot of humblebragging going on. Word in the boardroom is that LinkedIn suddenly got a whole lot like Facebook. Here’s how.

One inspirational quote does not maketh a content strategy

OK, so it might if you’re Richard Branson, granted, but if your whole feed suddenly gets overtaken by motivation of a Monday kind, you might start to get some pretty strong #TuesdayThoughts. Especially from the British amongst us.

Avo on toast, and make it snappy

What may be viewed on Facebook as a little window into one’s life as a Hackney hipster, craft ale et al, probably won’t have the same effect on LinkedIn. No one needs to see a continuous stream of perfectly-curated foodie shots; your network’s too busy changing the world, one Pulse article at a time. Much more interesting to reveal the story behind that avocado, the human angle, the way that ‘breakfast of champions’ made you feel and what you’d achieved by elevenses.

No one likes a humblebrag

A note of caution. Too many posts which begin with “So, I’ve been working on this little thing” aka world domination, is going to get your card marked as a humblebrag. And that’s not great. The perfect LinkedIn post requires the right proportion of humility, humour and hubris.

TMI

We’ve all got that one oversharer in our network. Most typically found at the end of a dinner party, sharing all the nitty gritty on that time they blah blah blah *reveal as appropriate*. The LinkedIn equivalent is that one user who shares EVERYTHING, without thought or consideration, who does all the quizzes <del>all the quizzes</del>, reveals the results and generally creates noise of a shouty kind. Be judicious, be select and maintain your professional dignity at the working lunch that is LinkedIn.

Let me circle back to you on that

How wide is your circle of influence? Do you know all your connections, or are they just numbers on a <del>vanity metric</del> spreadsheet? Thing about LinkedIn is that you can afford to be a little more circumspect on who’s invited into your circle of trust. Sometimes Zammo, it’s ok to just say no.

With this post, I thee recommend

Same goes for recommendations. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but one day, they’re going to reflect back on you. Make sure it’s a good look by only recommending people for their actual skills, rather than the ones they’re hoping to rank for. Or get an interview with. Unlike Facebook, where you can go mad with the ‘Go girl, you got this’ and lots of fist bump emojis (Ed’s note: also perfectly acceptable Instagram behaviour).

Message me

Those instant messages that annoyingly pop up when you’re updating yourself with the latest trending topics on Facebook <del>FB-stalking</del>? Yep, they’ve hit LinkedIn now too. The LinkedIn dev team say: Smarter messaging that helps you connect and unlock new opportunities. We say: a little note to anyone thinking of messaging us – please don’t include the words ‘reach out’. They’re reserved for the Four Tops and them alone.

Could you be any more on trend?

Trending topics – tick. LinkedIn’s algorithm will now serve you curated content based on your connections, who you follow and your interests. FYI, the pug life did not choose Deirdre from accounts, it chose her. Just saying.

Does anyone else have an opinion on that?

Jump into a discussion, a conversation, a hotly-contested debate, all from within LinkedIn, the same as you do on Facebook. And the best bit? The platform will now share who’s engaging with your content including showing you their company, job title and location. Useful insights, especially if you’re considering moving onto their paid advertising platform. Every little helps.

Strike a pose

Visually, it’s the little things too. Or the big things like making sure you have a decent profile pic. Bladdered with the girls in Blackpool, not so much. On Facebook though? Practically mandatory.

Enough about me, let’s talk about you. How can I sell to you?

Facebook’s got Marketplace, LinkedIn’s got an inbox. Let us clarify. Facebook has a specific area for people to buy and sell hedgehogs and stuff (yup, we were shocked too). LinkedIn’s got an area for you to message and connect with people for mutual professional benefit.

Time to seal the deal

We’ll ask Swiss Toni to close the LinkedIn pitch, if we may. While the tech and innovations seem to be heading in the same direction, with network building and content discovery at the fore, the two platforms should be treated very, very differently. Your professional network on LinkedIn should be treated like a fine wine, or a beautiful woman for that matter. With a great deal of R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

The post Is LinkedIn the new Facebook? first appeared on 24 fingers.

The post Is LinkedIn the new Facebook? appeared first on 24 fingers.

Have you heard the latest news? Instagram Stories has surpassed the gargantuan milestone of 200 million (!) daily active users, making it bigger than Snapchat’s stats of 161 million users. Yes, Instagram’s Snapchat clone is now MORE popular than Snapchat itself — and it’s only eight months old!

With the mobile photo-sharing service enjoying the sweet taste of success, it seems to be celebrating by rolling out spanking new features left, right and centre. All this and more in this week’s edition of Social Snippets….

The Private Collection

No, not the new exhibition at the Tate, but Instagram’s latest, greatest feature.

So, what is it exactly? Well, users can now save their posted photos and videos in a swanky private collection, giving people a way to bookmark items they want to remember for the future, such as drool-worthy destinations to travel or fancy-pants cake decorating ideas for your next party.

(Or, you know, cute dogs – ain’t no harm in 100+ photos of Corgi puppies).

This change to Instagram is an addition to a feature introduced last December, that allows users to save posts from the people they follow. According to statistics, 46% of people have saved at least one post since the feature’s inception; and, now, with the ability to create multiple collections of saved Instagram posts, the compartmentalisation is limitless.

Though collections remain private for now, that’s not to say your perfectly curated boards couldn’t be ogled by the public in the near future…

Move Aside, Geotags

We weren’t joking when we said Instagram was rolling out tools left, right and centre.

As well as Collections, the app giant made some very aesthetic changes to its Stories feature. Among the updates are custom ‘geostickers’ in four more cities – London, Tokyo, Madrid and Chicago, AND a hands-free timer.

What makes these geostickers so special? All of them have been designed by local community members, meaning not only are they seriously cute but they help to promote each city’s local arts scene. It’s a win-win!

Facebook with a Twist

What’s the future of socialising, according to Facebook? Two words: virtual reality.

At its F8 Developer Conference in San Jose this week, the social network service announced several new products, all with a driving focus on virtual and augmented reality.

Facebook Spaces, its new VR app, lets users chat with friends in a 3D virtual environment, offering the first real glimpse of how Facebook plans to make virtual reality a HUGE social tool.

You get your own cartoon avatar to represent you in the virtual world, the ability to talk to multiple people in a virtual space at the same time, and, best of all, you can overlay 360° images or videos from your feed onto the virtual space, plunging you and your avatar friends into a personalised environment.

Like this tropical paradise:

If this is the future of social media, then bring it on!

The post The new social media feature you NEED to know about first appeared on 24 fingers.

The post The new social media feature you NEED to know about appeared first on 24 fingers.

We’ve got some good news. No, teleport technology doesn’t quite exist yet (*sad face*), but Instagram’s latest feature could be the next best thing….

From the photo-sharing site’s nifty in-app button to Facebook Messenger’s makeover, read on for the crème de la crème of updates from the tech world.

Table for Two

Our instant gratification culture often makes it tough to resist temptation. Like this juicy burger:

Or this work-of-art mani:

You want it, and you want it now.

Well, with Instagram’s new update, you just might get it. The social media giant will soon be rolling out a feature where you can book a restaurant reservation, a hair/nail appointment and much, much more via a company’s Instagram profile. While many websites cater for online booking, this in-app button is an ingenious idea for busy folk who don’t want to open up multiple browsers – because let’s face it….

Business wise, the upcoming feature has unquestionable benefits. Expected to launch in the next few months, companies will soon be able to track tangible conversion rates and measure the success of their online promotion in a more profitable way. “When someone books an appointment, that’s not a ‘like’ or a ‘follow,’ that’s actual action”, says Instagram’s head of business, James Quarles.

Let the booking commence!

Members Only

Many have heard through the grapevine that Twitter is considering launching a paid, premium service. Sound appealing?

After suffering a setback in the form of stagnated user numbers, it’s heads down for Twitter as they begin exploring new avenues to boost revenue. The idea for their paid service would be modelled on an enhanced version of Tweetdeck, their social media dashboard application that manages multiple accounts and timelines.

The exclusive service would offer “valuable viewing, posting, and signalling tools like alerts, trends and activity analysis, advanced analytics, and composing and posting tools all in one customisable dashboard”. Fancy with a Capital F.

Aimed at businesses and power users, the dashboard would make it ten times easier to grow an audience and keep up with content in real-time. You’ll never have to suffer from FOMO again!

ALL The Feels

Like a photo a friend sent via Facebook Messenger? Well now you can L-O-V-E it.

The social networking service has announced a pair of new features for its Messenger app – ‘Reactions’ and ‘Mentions’. With Reactions, users can respond to content on individual and group chats just like this:

Cute, huh? Mentions, on the other hand, is designed primarily for group conversations, and allows users to directly notify friends using the @ tag, as seen on the right:

In a bid to make in-app conversations “better than ever”, Facebook’s dynamic duo will be available globally in the next couple of days.

Advances in technology are changing the game faster than we can click on the like button, but fret not — we’re here to take the stress away.

This week we divulge WhatsApp’s neat new feature, Instagram’s immersive ads and Facebook’s secret (shhh!) news feed. Sit back, relax and have a little read….

Size Matters

We spoke just last week of WhatsApp’s snazzy new status feature, but the messaging service isn’t stopping in its quest for app domination.

Recently introducing a brand new feature, ‘Size’ tab is able to tell users which chat is eating up the most kilobytes of space, and, alternatively, which chat is taking up the least amount. For tech junkies, this clever update can make it ten times easier to manage your phone’s storage. That’s some sweet victory.

With a tab showing the size of each chat in detail, users can delete the chats consuming the most storage space i.e. that one friend who sends you up to eight photos a day of their Turkish Angora cat….

Whilst only available to a selection of lucky beta testers, the feature is set to become public in the near future.

Full phone storage, you’re going down.

Fullscreen

Businesses, rejoice! Beloved photo-sharing app Instagram has announced plans to incorporate immersive, full-screen ads in its “Stories” feature, targeted specifically towards businesses worldwide.

Start-ups to corporates can now start running ads in Stories through the Marketing API, helping to reach a target audience through highly engaging content. In a statement released by the company, Instagram emphasised that businesses of every size “can show ads to the maximum number of people in

[their] audience and control how often they see the ads”.

With a sprinkling of services like Airbnb already testing out the feature, ad formats will be available globally within the next few weeks. Get ready to reap those rewards.

Want to Know a Secret?

Okay, the cat’s out the bag. Facebook’s ‘secret’ second news feed is currently being tested amongst a handful of users, and it’s about to give the social networking service a whole new dimension.

The new feature allows users to switch between two pages: the standard Home feed and a spanking new Explore feed.

The Explore function works similarly to Instagram’s Explore Page, displaying pictures and videos from publishers that you aren’t already connected to. How? Facebook’s intelligent algorithms generates this content based on your personal preferences and things that your inner circle have liked, watched and interacted with.

With an endless stream of content to view, just don’t forget to catch some sleep at night.

The post Facebook’s Facelift first appeared on 24 fingers.

The post Facebook’s Facelift appeared first on 24 fingers.

Have you heard about Instagram’s biggest update yet? Or why WhatsApp is stirring up some controversy?

Read on to discover the tech world’s juiciest developments….

The Sincerest Form of Flattery

First Instagram, then Facebook. And now WhatsApp.

It seems that everyone wants a piece of the Snapchat pie — in its latest update, WhatsApp’s Status feature has been modified to create messages using photos, videos and GIF images, bearing a striking resemblance to Snapchat’s Stories feature.

Users of the instant messaging app can update their status throughout the day (à la Snapchat…), which will be visible to contacts for 24 hours before disappearing into a black abyss.

How to jazz up your status? Head to the Status tab. Then simply tap on the circle with plus symbol – the camera will open, and you can get snap happy. After perfecting that masterpiece, make it live for all your friends to see!

In an attempt to eclipse what literally everyone is thinking, WhatsApp’s founder and boss Jam Koum insists that the company had been working to improve the status feature ever since it was first introduced in 2009, stating that “the app was created as a way of posting these statuses – so that you could let all your friends and contacts know what you’re up to”. It’s okay Jam, we’ll look the other way….

Swipe Right

Remember talk of Instagram’s new update, featuring a magical multiple image reel? Well, it’s finally here.

The reel lets you combine up to ten photos and videos into a SINGLE post, meaning you no longer have to choose one photo of the caramelized banana french toast you ate at that pop-up brunch place in Shoreditch that you spent 90 minutes queuing for. Or that epic party you nearly missed out on because you were binge-watching a Netflix show in your onesie.

Though users can only provide one caption for the entire slideshow, you know what they say — a picture paints a thousand words. And now there’s ten….

When Fashion Meets Tech

Launched just in time for London Fashion Week, British Vogue is the latest brand to create its very own bot for Facebook Messenger.

Designed to send personalised news direct to a reader’s inbox, the bot can be found on the British Vogue Facebook page or direct via Facebook Messenger. Users select their own personal preferences about the articles and highlights they would like to receive, and how often they’d like to receive them.

And, for the fashion-obsessed, the bot can instantly send updates or stories from a specific designer, meaning you’ll never have to worry about staying on top of the latest runway news again.

Let’s just hope the bot’s backend system doesn’t experience more issues than Vogue….

Getting Personal

Twitter is taking action to “humanise” its business partners’ customer service-based Direct Messages through a spanking new personalised customer service interaction.

In its new feature, businesses can make private conversations with customers more personal by showing the real face, name and title of the care agent who is engaging in conversation.

The social networking service announced that new versions of its Direct Message are currently in private beta, but are being slowly rolled out to more and more business accounts.

So, if you’re reading this and you’re a business owner, expect to drive more personalised experiences and customer satisfaction in the next couple of weeks!

It’s raining app features this week. Twitter’s saying sayonara to online trolls, Pinterest gets even cleverer and Facebook adds weatherman to its résumé.

Ta-ta, Trolls!

Beware of the internet trolls: they’re everywhere. With a lot of spare time on their hands, they manage to lurk around all forms of social networking websites like slimy parasites, ready to post inflammatory remarks at the click of a button. In fact ‘trolling’ has become such a modern phenomenon, it even has it’s own Wiki page…

But, in an attempt to battle this online harassment, Twitter is delivering not one, but three new anti-troll tools. In a recently published blog, the site announced that its new features will be rolling out in the near future, the most practical one being a filter that hides “abusive or low-quality” tweets by default. See you never, trolls!

And that’s not it – Twitter is also hunkering down on its hoard of online bullies by limiting new account creation. Its algorithms will be able to identity people who have been permanently banned from the site, and will ban them from creating new accounts.

Twitter should have probably thought about implementing these changes a long, long time ago…but better late than never, right?

All *Hail* Facebook

Continuing on its thundering path to world domination, Facebook has introduced yet another new feature. The social media service is giving all users the ability to check their local weather forecast anytime, anywhere. But wait, aren’t there phone apps that already do that?

Not the first time Facebook has stolen ideas and sold it as its own, the newest feature began rolling out on Wednesday, on both desktop and mobile.

The weather feature will default to a users current location, but simply tap the ‘Settings’ button at the top of the page to add a new location (i.e. that tropical getaway you booked to get over the January Blues).

Pinterest Lens

If a picture is worth a thousand words, Pinterest is a gold mine.

Hot on the heels of its last update, the photo sharing website has plans to launch yet another spanking new feature – this time, a ‘Visual Discovery’ tool. Using artificial intelligence, Pinterest Lens allows its community to “use the camera in the app to discover ideas inspired by objects you see out in the real world”.

How it works? Users can open the Lens function, snap a picture of whatever catches their eye – like a pair of shoes that you need in your life, or maybe a swanky chair that would look really good in that home office of yours – and immediately see a plethora of related images before them.

It’s just like magic (and some very clever technology).

The post Facebook Forecast first appeared on 24 fingers.

The post Facebook Forecast appeared first on 24 fingers.

It would seem that technology is tapping into our deepest hopes, dreams and desires. From Instagram’s multi-photo album to Whatsapp’s text message deleter, there’s plenty of new features to get excited about this week.

The Book of Love

Just when you thought you had enough dating apps… welcome to Facebook’s ‘Discover People’.

The social networking service is rolling out a brand new feature to its mobile app, which encourages users to find friends, business connections and, yes, you guessed it, romantic partners by connecting with people through the site.

Like infamous online dating app Tinder, Facebookers can create an ‘About’ section with a bio and featured photos – essentially a Facebook profile within a Facebook profile. Underneath this section will be a list of events that the user has shown an interest in or is attending; If you’re feeling intrigued, you can swipe through other attendees’ profiles and break the ice with a message.

Additionally, the feature lets users scroll through past events to find people they met but didn’t connect with on the app and even browse through profiles of users who live nearby.
A spokesperson has said the new feature ‘can help you discover more about people you have things in common with by browsing through profile cards of people in your community.’

Cute or creepy? We’ll let you decide.

Photos Galore

The all-too-familiar dilemma of choosing a photo to upload on Instagram from last night’s party, with a whopping 174 to pick from. We’ve all been there.

But things might be looking up for us trigger-happy photographers, as Instagram has plans to update its platform with the inclusion of a new feature – a multiple…image…reel:

The game-changing feature works by allowing users to select up to ten images, then upload them as a carousel-style album for other users to click through — the perfect solution for sharing more than one image from an event (or bottomless brunch) without ‘spamming the ‘gram’.

Our reaction?

Now You See it, Now You Don’t

Stop what you’re doing – Whatsapp is getting a makeover, and it’s already the best thing of 2017.

The instant messaging app is incorporating a slew of new features, allowing users to EDIT and ERASE sent text messages. Too good to be true? Leaked photos of the beta update are already making its way around the Internet:

With an ‘Edit’ button that will allow for users to change the content of the message, and a ‘Revoke’ button that can make a text vanish into thin air, this feature is definitely a godsend in a world of drunk texts and sober regrets.

Just make sure you do it before the other person sees….

The post Textual Healing first appeared on 24 fingers.

The post Textual Healing appeared first on 24 fingers.
