Nissan asks athletes to #DoItForUs

How do you promote a car manufacturer in a clever way to the Olympic and Paralympic games? I must admit, when we saw this trending we thought #FAIL, but watching Nissan’s video I have to say this is a definite #WIN. They tackle this question head on with some very tongue-in-cheek humour whilst pranking Team GB.

Well played, Nissan.

Digital Detox

hide-computer-big-bang-theory

There’s certainly some irony in the fact that #DigitalDetox was trending online this week.

Ofcom reported that, on average, Britons spend over 24 hours per week online (*guilty*) and that a third have attempted a ‘digital detox’ to their internet addiction – but only 25% of those barely lasting a day away from their screens. And the fact that we are reading about this online indicates we aren’t showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Instagram Stories

This week photo-sharing app, Instagram introduced a new feature that is pretty much identical to Snapchat…

People were quick to pick up on this, and Twitter was inundated with hilarious memes…

…and bought up the features users actually wanted to see on Instagram…

… #Awkward. At the moment the only difference seems to be that Instagram Stories doesn’t the filter feature that Snapchat does, but it is only a matter of time. Want to know more about it? Read our blog on it here.
