FAILS

Everybody should be proud of who they are but rightly so, the timing of Thursday’s #HeterosexualPrideDay did not go down well on Twitter. It prompted a particularly vivid backlash from many corners of the internet. Ouch.

Politics hasn’t been out of the news this week, with the parties in England going through some big changes in personnel. Everybody expected Bo-Jo to announce his candidacy for leader of the Conservative Party, and none were more surprised than he when Michael Gove announced he’d be running. Boris stepped down very quickly and Twitter exploded with this little gem, #GoveSongs.

That’s not the whole truth, though. We all know that there is a more pressing reason for Germans to love us. When we Brits go on holiday we’re too busy sleeping off the Sangria from the night before to head down to the pool to book those loungers at 7am. You’re welcome to them!

The internet is now awash with the names of soldiers who died at the Somme, which may just be the biggest win of all.
